This Week on The Compound

EPISODES

On TCAF this week, Josh Brown and Michael Batnick spoke with Brian Levitt, Chief Global Market Strategist and Head of Strategy & Insights at Invesco. They discussed whether the AI trade has become too crowded, why earnings growth still supports the market, and what investors should actually watch for signs of trouble. (Listen)

INSIDE THE COMPOUND

The SpaceX IPO went off on Friday. Leading up the IPO there was a ton of chatter about how index providers should deal with SpaceX, and other mega IPOs. S&P bucked the trend by not changing its rules to accommodate rapid index inclusion. You can also read about how Vanguard deals with IPOs. Nick Maggiulli at Dollars and Data gave some good perspective to SpaceX and its potential impact on index investors. He writes:

Ultimately, the impact that SpaceX, Anthropic, or OpenAI will have on your index funds pales in comparison to almost every other financial decision you make. Your career, your spending, and your asset allocation matter far more than whether your index fund has a weighting of 0.5% to a given stock.
