INSIDE THE COMPOUND
SpaceX went public a little more than a month ago at $135 a share. On Friday, SpaceX closed at $123.99. This week Josh Brown at Downtown Josh Brown looked at the ‘thirsty behavior’ surrounding the SpaceX IPO and wrote:
We had to talk a lot of people out of doing dumb stuff in the run-up to the initial public offering and, fortunately, people listened for the most part. Now you can buy as much SpaceX as you want, below the offering price, just a couple of weeks later.
CHART OF THE WEEK
Wall Street analysts get a bad rap. However when it comes to forecasting the earnings for the S&P 500 out a year ahead they do a pretty good job. Matt Cerminaro at Chart Kid Matt notes that when analysts do fail it is due to an economic recession.
